Teacher Workshops

Chabot offers teachers stimulating, hands-on workshops for a range of disciplines, including astronomy, environmental sciences, computers, chemistry, physics, and life sciences. Many of these workshops have integrated themes with writing, art, and social studies.  All of our workshops provide teachers with knowledge and tools that they can use in their classrooms immediately.

To register for a workshop:

  1. Click the checkbox(es) for the workshop(s)*  you want.
  2. Click the "Continue" button at the bottom of the page.
  3. Complete form and submit request**.

* Note:  You can read a detailed description of each workshop by clicking on the title in the workshop list below.  To return to the workshop list from the details page, click on the link at the bottom of the details page.

** Note: Payment for on-line teacher workshop registrations are made by credit card on a secure website through Verisign. Have your Mastercard or Visa ready to complete this registration.

If you would prefer to pay by check, you may download a PDF version of the catalog or just the registration form, or call our teacher workshop information line at (510) 336-7322 and leave your name and mailing address and we'll mail you a paper copy. Downloading the PDF catalog requires Adobe Acrobat Reader, which can be downloaded for free at this link.

A minimum enrollment is needed for each workshop. If this minimum is not met at least two weeks prior to the first workshop meeting, the workshop will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued.  In the event of participant cancellation, the registration fee may be applied to another workshop--the fee will not be refunded. All workshops, except where noted, are held at Chabot Space & Science Center.
