An Evening Cruise to the Center of the Milky Way (and back)

October 13, 2020 @ 7:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Tuesday, October 13
7-8 p.m.
Free on Facebook Live

We’ve all be stuck at home recently, so what better way to escape than taking a cruise to the center of the Milky Way! Our luxury space liner will speed us out of the solar system with barely a nod to the laws of physics, and marvel at alien worlds, newborn stars and cosmic death rays. Finally we will take a deep dive towards the hidden monster at the very heart of our galaxy before blasting back to Earth and home in time for bed.

About Simon Steel

Dr. Simon Steel is not only a galactic cruise director, he is also Director of Education and Public Outreach at the SETI Institute in Mountain View, California.  As an astronomer he studied distant galaxies, but spends more time these days thinking about aliens and the search for life in our own Milky Way.
