The future of space is happening now! Space exploration is a rapidly evolving story shaped by engineers, artists, scientists, and everyday people — and it’s unfolding right here in the Bay Area. Join us for Space Week: a five-day celebration of creativity, discovery, and bold ideas in space science and exploration. Get hands-on with cutting edge technology and meet NASA scientists and Bay Area innovators. Make and explore all week with family-friendly activities, live science demos, and creative stations that invite explorers of all ages to experiment, build and imagine. Launch the weekend with an electrifying evening of music, experiences, and stellar inspiration for all ages at First Friday. Space week is your chance to experience the future of space, and your place in it, up close!
Space Week at Chabot will consist of three parts: the Center experience with brand new activities and workshops, a First Friday evening event, and a Festival Weekend. More information about the First Friday and Festival events coming soon.

What is the Space Renaissance?
The space renaissance is an ongoing transformation in how humans explore, engage with and think about space. There is a current wave of innovation and activity in space science and human exploration and investigation of the universe. This includes commercial space ventures, public and private collaborations, artistic engagement, and diverse talents and disciplines. It is technological, cultural and creative.
