Do you want to learn how the amazing space images are made by the Hubble or James Webb Telescopes? Have you ever wanted to take photos of the Milky Way with your cell phone or camera? Get your questions answered by Chabot Staff and learn how to get started in amateur astrophotography with others.   

This beginner workshop is a mix of classroom and hands-on testing of the software and hardware needed to capture and process images of the night sky. After an overview on how astro-images are typically made by amateurs and professionals alike, we will have hands-on training with gear provided by Chabot learning how to operate different types of amateur telescopes, and how one captures and processes images of the night sky.
