Above our life sustaining atmosphere resides an international team of scientists living onboard an orbiting complex we know as the International Space Station (ISS).  The ISS is the crowning achievement of many nations. It symbolizes a new beginning in the exploration of space.

In the early days of space travel, we competed as adversaries in our quest. Now we live, work, and learn together as eager partners.  With new discoveries, we can secure a better future for ourselves, all known life, and our home planet.

Learn how to spot the third brightest object in the heavens — let’s celebrate our Jewel in the Sky.
