Chabot’s 2nd BubbleFest celebrates the joy of bubbles with shows, activities, music and more that will blow you away! Learn about the science of bubbles with captivating shows from famous bubble artists and poppin’ activities throughout the Center.

11:30 a.m. Sterling the Bubblesmith Live Show, Theatre
Join the artist, Sterling Johnson as he creates beautiful, large bubbles with found objects!
Sterling has performed versions of his remarkable hand-blown bubbles for over 45 years. He is the only person to ever put a bubble inside a bubble inside a bubble on stage without any tubes or straws, and the first person to walk completely through a bubble film!
2 p.m. Tom Noddy’s Bubble Magic Live Show, Theater
Experience the wonder of Tom Noddy’s Bubble Magic! Tom has taken his uniquely warm and charming sense of wonder and delight in soap bubbles to audiences around the world. The bubbles are truly exquisite and Tom’s lively humor and engaging sense of fun leave his audiences both delighted and intrigued.
After three appearances on The Tonight Show, Tom was featured on the Best of the Year Tonight Show segment. In his 20-plus-year career as America’s Bubble Guy, he has appeared on numerous prime-time television shows as well as nightclubs and universities. He has been the featured performer for science center Bubble Festivals attracting up to seventeen thousand people in a single weekend.
3:30-4 p.m. Behind the Bubbles with Sterling Johnson & Tom Noddy, Lab 2
Sterling Johnson and Tom Noddy will join forces in Classroom 2 to give a more intimate behind-the-scenes peek at the science of their bubble magic. Get a closer look at how their amazing tricks are done. They answer questions and address a curious audience with content for older children and adults, allowing for a much more detailed understanding of the world of bubbles.
10-11 a.m. Giant Bubble Welcome!, Outside Front Entrance
Dance in a whirlwind of giant bubbles with Artist, Sterling Johnson as we welcome you to Bubblefest at our Front Entrance!
11 a.m. – 4 p.m. BubbleMania, Inside and Outside of the Museum
Bubblemania has been in the bubble business for over 20 years and looks to help children explore their curiosity around the science of bubbles. Bubblemania will bring a fun and unique experience that will allow children to play and interact with bubbles both inside and outside the museum, allowing for an up-close experience and participation in awesome bubble displays.
12-4 p.m. Bubble Dance Party With DJ Brad, Rotunda
Join DJ Brad in the Rotunda for a bubble dance party!
