Bring the whole family to kickstart your Pride Month with this out-of-this-world Pride party at Chabot! Discover the science of rainbows, dance with family & friends at the DJ dance party, and get fired up to experience how Rocket Fuel is made with local drag superstar VERA! in our very special Pride Live Science show, Science is a Drag! Join us in creating an interactive exhibit on Queering the Future, and gather with community in this starry #SpaceForAll to celebrate.

Join Out & About Bookshop owners Katy & Charlie for story time in the Amphitheatre at 11:00! You’ll sing songs, read two stories, play with scarves and end with a bubble dance party. Story time is tailored for children ages 0-5 and their families!

Queering the Future SketchLab

100 years in the future, you are tasked with creating the first Pride parade on another planet. What precautions might you need to consider to keep your participants safe in this unfamiliar terrain? What kind of decorations could you use in a zero gravity environment? Draw a picture of your Out-Of-This-World Pride parade.
Queering the Future: Community Talkback Space

Queer Futurism, a movement inspired by the transformative work of Afrofuturist artists & thinkers, envisions the LGBTQ+ community as central to a radical, diverse, and culturally caring future. When you hear the phrase, “Queering the Future,” what do you think of? What does it mean to you? To learn more & join in the conversation, leave your thoughts on this interactive community-built exhibit!

Join Caterpillar Club for live screen-printing! With the help of co-founders Gem and Kristian, create your own adorable Caterpillar Club merch! Shirts and bags will be available to purchase or bring your own item to print on.
Caterpillar Club is a 501(c) (3) non-profit dedicated to creating community for trans and gender-expansive youth ages 4-12, and their families. Their program offerings include monthly events, after-school sessions, and caregiver workshops.

OurSpace: Walk in our Shoes

Join OurSpace for a quick LifeMap activity where you can catch a small glimpse of how a change in your sexual orientation, gender identity and/or gender expression can change different aspects of your life.
OurSpace will also be collecting donations for their clothing & necessities closet. If you have access, please consider donating one of their needed items. Items they currently need include new, unused socks, underwear, shampoo, conditioner, textured hair care products, and deodorants.
Our Space is a vibrant safe space for LGBTQIA+ youth ages 13-24 and is located in Hayward. For many young people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and/or questioning, it can feel like no place is safe. Our Space provides that much-needed safe harbor where LGBTQIA+ youth can express their authentic selves and feel seen, accepted, and celebrated. It is also a space for youth to gain access to resources in regard to independent living, legal name change, transitioning resources and much more!

Founded in 1973, Pacific Center for Human Growth is the oldest LGBTQIA+ center in the Bay Area, the third oldest in the nation, and operates the only sliding scale mental health clinic for LGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC people and their families in Alameda County.
