Sock Skate
January 21 @ 10:30 am - 4:30 pm
|Recurring Event (See all)
An event every day that begins at 10:30 am, repeating until February 2, 2025

This new seasonal experience lets kids and adults of all ages slide across a specialty tile floor similar to ice without the cold. Wear your coziest socks and happily glide across our all new, icy planet-themed sock skate rinks—one is designed for 6 years and up and we offer a separate rink for little ones who are 5 and under.
Join us every Friday through Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm November 29 through February 2. Sock skating is included with regular admission (free for Chabot Members) and requires an on-site reservation for a 30-minute time slot starting daily at 10:30 through 4:00pm—don’t forget your socks!
Due to capacity limitations, there may be a short wait.
By participating in sock skate you acknowledge that:
- You and your guests enter at your own risk.
- Chabot is not responsible for injuries/accidents of any kind.
- You will comply with the rules.
Sock Skating Tips:
- No skates are needed, just socks you can wear, bring or buy onsite. (Cotton or natural fiber socks slide the best.)
- Have fun while using caution and respect for other skaters.
The sock skating rink is built out of artificial ice tiles that have a real-ice feel, giving skaters the same slip, slide, and glide as real ice skating without the specialty equipment or weather.
