Total Lunar Eclipse Viewing

Update:

The Lunar Eclipse Viewing at Chabot Space & Science Center is now an indoor event due to weather. All ticket holders are welcome to come and enjoy live streaming of the eclipse and hot chocolate here at the Center from 6pm-10pm.  

Two lunar lectures are scheduled for 7 pm and 8:30 pm.

Time Change: 6:00 pm to 10:00 PM

Eclipse timing:

The eclipse begins with the penumbral phase at 6:36pm.

The partial phase begins at 7:34 pm.

Totality at 8:41pm.

Mid-eclipse – 9:12pm

End of Totality at 9:43pm.

End of the partial phase of the eclipse at 10:5Spm

The eclipse concludes with the end of the penumbral phase at 11:48pm.
