Geminid Meteor Shower

Get away from the light pollution for the best viewing opportunity of the spectacular Geminid Meteor Shower! December 13 11 p.m. – 3 a.m. Get Tickets   Starting at dusk, spectators should be able to spot 50-100 meteors per hour, with the show peaking around 2 a.m. Astronomers will be on site to answer any questions. Balloon Drop

Families can ring in the New Year without staying up all night with one of Chabot’s most popular annual events! December 31 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. General registration begins December 8. Member registration begins December 1. Celebrate strokes of midnight around the world at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 4 p.m. Kids will count down and celebrate with hundreds of colorful balloons dropping from above and stay for the day to participate in fun activities throughout the Center.
