Join us every 2nd Saturday of the month for Family Nature Adventures, where we’ll explore different aspects of the surrounding redwood forest on each adventure! Every month will feature a different theme where we will dive into different topics like insects, forest animals, and trees. Each exploration includes a hands-on workshop with access to scientific tools and instruments, a simple snack, and a brief nature walk through the forest. Museum admission is included with your ticket.

Conifer Capers: Exploring Cones and Seeds!
Children will embark on a journey through the enchanting realm of conifers, learning about their fascinating adaptations, the significance of cones, and the magic of seeds. Through engaging activities, games, and exploration, participants will gain a deeper appreciation for these majestic trees and the vital role they play in our environment.

Roll up your sleeves and dive into a hands-on seed sorting activity! Children will explore the diverse shapes, sizes, and textures of conifer seeds, discovering how these tiny treasures are adapted for dispersal and growth. You’ll have a tree-mendous adventure. TICKETS

The Amazing World of Butterflies, Insects and Helpful Pollinators
Through engaging activities, experiments, and crafts, children will discover the diverse and extraordinary characteristics of native pollinators. Learn about the butterflies, bees, birds, and more that pollinate our favorite flowers before embarcing on a short exploration walk to spot some in the local redwood forest. Our knowledgeable and enthusiastic instructors will guide the participants on a memorable hands-on exploration, encouraging their curiosity and nurturing a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
