This August, Chabot Space & Science Center is celebrating is 137th birthday and 20th anniversary at its Skyline location. Join us as we celebrate these milestones virtually with a one-of-a-kind star party to benefit STEM education. The evening will include exciting activities, trivia, engaging speakers and end with a special telescope viewing!
We have a very special guest celebrating with us. Apollo 9 astronaut and scientist Russell L. (Rusty) Schweickart will join us to speak about STEM education and answer a few questions from our community.
Have fun while supporting the Center with this amusing and nostalgic fundraiser. For the entire month of August, double your impact when you make a donation to Chabot Space & Science Center. All gifts made now through August 31 will be matched dollar for dollar up to $50,000 by a generous group of Chabot Board Members.
You can also support the Center by bidding in our Virtual Silent Auction. This auction includes items you can only find at Chabot, including prints from our Luminous Moon exhibition and one-of-a-kind experiences like VIP telescope viewings, custom planetarium shows, parties with a scientist and more.
Our community is coming together to support science with special appearances from Professor of Astronomy at U.C. Berkeley, Alex Filippenko, Chabot Executive Director, Adam Tobin, and even resident robot Fritz! Hear from our volunteers, Galaxy Explorers and Chabot astronomers as we look back on our last 20 years on Skyline Boulevard.
