Celebrate your birthday at Chabot Space and Science Center!

Our weekend Birthday Party package includes all-day admission to the Center for your guests of any age. Your party will have a private room from 10:30 AM–1 PM or 12 PM–2:30 PM, giving you time to celebrate, enjoy treats, and dive into hands-on fun!
During your visit, embark on an exciting scavenger hunt, watch a planetarium show (or two!), explore interactive exhibits, and, weather permitting, peer through our historic telescopes. Plus, all child guests will receive a fun science-based craft activity. Whether completed at the party or taken home as a keepsake, ensure the science fun continues beyond your special day.

And of course, the birthday child will receive a special gift from us to commemorate their out-of-this-world celebration!

Saturday and Sunday

30 Visitor Packages: 10:30 AM-1 PM
70 Visitor Packages: 12 PM-2:30 PM

Hosts and party guests are welcome to enter the Center at any time on the day of the party during open hours, 10 AM – 5 PM, however, we are unable to offer access to the rental room outside of the stated hours.

*Please note that all adults and children over the age of 2 years old are included in the visitor count​*

  • 30 Visitor Package
    • Member: $600 + $100 refundable deposit
    • Non-member: $750 + $100 refundable deposit
  • Up to 70 visitors
    • Member: $1,200 + $100 refundable deposit
    • Non-member: $1,500 + $100 refundable deposit

Please keep in mind that the following Items are not allowed in the center or the birthday party room:

  • Open flames of any kind, including birthday candles
  • Heating equipment of any kind
  • Helium balloons
  • Glitter
  • Confetti
  • Alcoholic Beverages
